Vegas is known more for ambition and adventure than romance, but there’s something romantic in the glittering lights of the “Sin City” Las Vegas has a multitude of options for lovers, and I’m sure after this trip there is something for every couple to enjoy. I want to share my experience because most people think Vegas is just a place of pure celebration, “boozy” people getting married and gambling.
This was my boyfriend’s and I first vacation going somewhere, so he decided to give US the best experience ever! I flew to Cleveland to meet him and we left next morning on a Friday. Vegas was the first stop of our 10 day vacation.
Where do I begin to start! Of course the first surprise! We both have the FlyDelta App, so a week before the trip he texted wanting me to review our flight information – So I did- and there it was! He upgraded our flight tickets to first class. It was very exciting because it was the first time ever for both of us.
Ahhhhh, first class what can I say that we all already don’t know….Top-notch treatment, lots of leg room, unlimited drinks and amazing food choices. We felt so spoiled! That’s a problem now for our future trips hahahaha.
After about 4 delightful flight hours and unlimited Berry-Vodka Cocktails, we arrived in Vegas baby! And here comes the second surprise.
I was telling Joe that I had the Uber app in my phone and we can use it! And he was like “No we have to go to the baggage carousel section.” I thought it was because we were going to meet one of his friends and wife (We were traveling just with carry-on) but no…he booked a Limo! Hehehe So NOW I was at 200% spoiled level. It was so fun!
He booked a Luxury Suite at the Vdara Hotel & Spa, so after our grand entrance, our welcoming personal concierge and another round of Berry-Vodka cocktails in the lobby, we went to our room for surprise number 3 -What can I say I won the lottery with my baby! –
The suite was amazing (Bigger than my first apartment – Ha! –)
I was speechless with the view and of course he planned wine, strawberry’s, romantic decoration, and a beautiful card.
So, let’s talk about what we did, and things to do in a romantic trip:
Is the epicenter of Vegas with the most iconic landmarks. If you have the energy, you can explore the Strip on foot – just make sure to wear very comfortable shoes and light clothes if you’re traveling June-August.
Is one of Las Vegas most iconic attractions is also one of the most romantic. Couples can watch the magnificent fountains “dance” to 32 different songs. The short, free shows take place every 30 minutes Monday -Friday from 3-8 p.m.; Saturday and holidays every 30 minutes from noon-8 p.m., then every fifteen minutes until midnight; Sunday every 30 minutes from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and every fifteen minutes from 7 p.m. to midnight.
Stratosphere Tower Observation Deck
In my opinion has one of the most breathtaking views of Vegas. We had the chance to have dinner at the Top of the world restaurant there – Just Wow!
The Venetian Grand Canal
The Venetian replicates the highlights of Venice, complete with gondola rides along the Grand Canal. Visitors can get a taste of this wonderful city with singers, stilt walkers and “living statues” that recreates the typical scene you’d likely encounter in the real Venice.
Paris, Las Vegas and the Eiffel Tower
Who doesn’t think Paris is one of the most romantic cities in the whole world? The property offers a whirlwind tour of the French capital’s most iconic sights: You’ll find a replica of the Arc de Triomphe, decor reminiscent of the Paris Opera and the Louvre, a 46 story, half-size replica of the Eiffel Tower.
Conservatory & Botanical Gardens at Bellagio
Italy has long been a staple of romance and love. Walking through this gardens makes you feel like you are in Italy.
Pool and Cabanas
The pool is a popular escape from the heat during the summer (We went in August – Max 108F). You would definitely like to enjoy a relaxing time in the freshing water.
Fine Food Experience.
An irresistibly indulgent range of fine food can be found in Vegas. Going out to eat an exceptional brunch-lunch-dinner with your significant other is also one of the best things to do in Vegas. Joe and I enjoy food – He’s a foodie – and I’ll share our experience in a new post because of all the material I have deserves a whole post.
As you can see, there are plenty of things to do in Las Vegas for couples, including the many popular options listed below:
- Las Vegas Shows: It’s one of the highlights of any visit to Vegas.
- Las Vegas Strip Helicopter Tour: One of the most thrilling excursions. With a nighttime tour, you’ll see the entire Strip illuminated in all her glory.
- High Roller Observation Wheel at the LINQ: Couples will have fun holding on to each other as they go 550 feet over the Vegas Strip aboard a 30-minute ride.
- Grand Canyon Tours: If you love the great outdoors and its natural beauty, you will absolutely not want to miss out on a tour of this magnificent National Park.
- Hoover Dam Tour: Once one of mankind’s greatest engineering marvels, the Hoover Dam is still pretty impressive decades after its construction.
It was an amazing weekend, full of surprises and with the best company, my Love! We didn’t have the chance to do all the things we had hoped to see and do. We decided to get the most out of our short time in Vegas, so we enjoyed it in a very laid back and relaxing manner.
I’ll be posting soon about our food experience!
